The Color Room

Everyone please get out your calendar and write this date down.
I actually made a LO without a flower on it.
I know it is hard to believe, but it is true.
the proof is below!

Today I have a Lo made with Palette/sketch #90 from The Color Room
I haven't had much time lately to play there, and I really miss it!
I enjoy the color selections there quite a lot!

This photo is of my "posse" at our annual Christmas party.
We were having quite a good time,,,

I have used Bazzill, Bo Bunny (Enchanted again!) Heidi Grace papers, and the
background paper I don't know what it is :( I had cut the strip
off previously and I don't remember!
I have also used Maya Road, Fiskars, Offray, Basic Grey, Inka Gold,
Tsukineko, and some craft items.

I am linking up over at Frosted Designs where the challenge was Fabric.
I have used fabric ribbon, lace, and a little remnant of fabric (on the title) on my LO.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Cats and Dogs

Well, did you survive Christmas?
It was very peaceful here at our house - nice and quiet this year :o)
So glad to have my babies here with me for the holiday,
even though they are not babies anymore!

Today I have my DT layout for  ColourQ , the colors this week were black, white
and add 1 color of your choice ~ I picked yellow.
I have also used the sketch over at Get Picky

I have used Bazzill, Bo Bunny (Enchanted - love that paper!) Grungeboard, Basic Grey,
Maya Road, and some items from the craft department. I have sewn my mats
with my machine and inked my edges with Tsukineko inks. I have colored my
background paper with Tsukineko Fireworks Spray and Inka Gold.

Here is a look at the sketch I used from Get Picky

I am also linking up at Bird Is The Word - "Wonder"

Have a wonderful Tuesday!
Hope your Christmas was merry and you are relaxed and rested!

Frosted Designs #30

Can you believe it is almost Christmas???
One more day to go and then it is here!
I baked all day today so my house is smelling very cinnamony right now!

Today I have a LO made with the sketch over at Frosted Designs
I have used Echo Park papers and die cut stickers, Prima, Maya Road, May Arts,
Kaiser Kraft, Inka Gold, Tsukineko and I have sewn here and there with my
sewing machine. The stick pins I made myself using left over beads from
other projects and floral pins.

Here is a look at the sketch I have used
I rotated the sketch 90 degrees to fit my main photo

I am also linking up over at
Scrapbookers Anonymous where the A-Z challenge is "E" - I have used Echo Park papers

Thanks for stopping by today!
Merry Christmas

Time Flys

Happy almost Christmas my blogging friends!
Are you ready??? I think I am - we will see!
So happy that I have managed to squeeze in some scrapping time,
I am only three days behind in my DD - not bad, huh?

Today I have a LO I made with the sketch over at Stuck On U Sketches
The sketch was holiday themed, but I took it in a different direction, using an everyday
photo on my LO instead. Here is a peek
My papers are from Pink Paisley, and I have also used Bazzill, May Arts,
Tim Holtz Grungeboard, Prima jewels, Ranger, Basic Grey,
some stuff from my stash and Inka-Gold.
Have you used Inka-Gold??? Let me tell you this stuff is THE BOMB!!!!
Where has it been all my life??? It is a paste that you apply with a sponge
and it dries almost instantly!!!
INSTANTLY I TELL YOU!
It is so shiny and shimmery, you will want to put it on everything!
I have been covering my studio in the stuff!
But I digress,,, for this LO I used it on the birdcage, the fairy wings and
the butterfly in the title above. See how sparkly it is?? I applied Lava Green
all overand then Rose to the edges. I am using Rangers Cut n Dry to apply it.

I did a fair amount of layering on this LO because I wanted it to really have some dimension.
I used 3 layers on the bottom as you can see here,  and a couple at the top.

Here is a look at the sketch I used from SOUS
I rotated the sketch 90 degrees to the left to fit my photo.

I am also linking my LO over at Bird Is The Word  ~ "Time"

If you are in the North Texas area you can get the Inka-Gold colors at The Crafty Scrapper in Waxahachie
If you are not lucky enough to live here, Google it - there are tons of places that sell it online.
Thank you for hopping by my blog!
Have a wonderful and safe Holiday!

Super Star

Where is the time going these days!
Are you super busy too - so many things on my list!
I think I am three days behind in my DD - shhhhh - don't tell anyone!
I will try and get caught up this weekend :o)
Today I have a LO using a super cool sketch I just found over at  Swirlydoos ~ Of
course I found it after the challenge was over, but I liked it so much I used it anyway!
As usual I have used a mix of products~ My papers are from Pink Paisley and I have
also used Dusty Attic, Tattered Angels, Prima, May Arts, K&Co, Technique Tuesday,
Ranger, Tsukineko, Maya Road and some stuff from my stash.
My chippie was painted, then splattered then sprinkled with ultra fine glitter.
I bought this charm in the jewelry department I don't know how long ago and I
have been hoarding it for just the right LO -  love how it looks here.
I used Tim Holtz' die for my rosette - love that thing!
Look how happy my baby is! College life agreed with her it seemed :o)

Thanks for stopping by today~
I love to read your comments - so please share our thoughts!
Have a wonderful weekend

ColourQ #115 - Christmas Love

Hello my blogging friends! It is Tuesday and time for ColourQ
This week the colors were perfect for a fun Christmas LO.
I have some fun photos of my cherished Gussie with my daughters
a few Christmases ago. None of these girls can be serious, so trying to get a
picture of the three of them looking into the camera at the same time is next to
impossible! There was a lot of love and laughter going on!!
I have used MME papers as well as the sketch from MME Blog  for my LO.
LOVE, love, love the Lost and Found papers!!! Pink and glittered is right up
my alley!!! I have also used lots of Maya Road - chippies, stick pins and
Trinket Beads, along with Prima, Dusty Attic, EK Success, Tsukineko,
my sewing machine and a few things from my stash.

For my chippie title, I painted it with Claudine Helmuth paint, splattered Pearlescent
Liquid Acrylic and then sprayed with Shimmer Mist.

I layered my punched edge, added a little bling and a Dusty Attic corner for my photo.

I sprinkled these fabulous little Trinket Beads all over the page - love these
little things from Maya Road. They just add a little sparkle here and there.

Here is a look at this week's palette from ColourQ
As I said  - great colors for a Christmas project!!
Be sure to stop by the BLOG and take a look at the fabulous projects the other
ladies have made - they are beautiful let me tell you!!

And here is the great sketch I used from MMM
I moved one of my photos to the other side so I would have room to journal.
Gotta journal on my LO's - that is why I scrap!

Thanks so much for hopping by my blog today!
Have a great day!

Christmas Mini House

Happy Wednesday!
I can't believe that we are a week into December already!
Have you finished your Christmas shopping??
I am done for all practical purposes. A gift card or two for the stockings and I am done!
Today I have the pictures of my finishes Christmas House.
This thing is so tiny! The base that it sits on is 6X6 - the house itself is 3 1/8 inches deep X
2 1/2 wide and 3 1/2 inches high at the peak! TINY!
Here are the pics of the finished project,,,,,

All my papers were from Little Yellow Bicycle. I used Rangers Distress
Crackle paint on the outside of the house and decorated it with lots of bling. (That little "spot" you
see on one of the windows is actually a rhinestone from the Christmas tree inside.)
The little Snow People I had made by a very talented artist on Ebay a few years ago.

My shingles I created with punches and pearls and a little gesso.

And of course, the cute little Christmas Tree that I made for the inside of the house.
It is just about 3 1/4 inches tall, just small enough to fit inside!

I hope you have enjoyed the tour of my little house!
It was such fun to make.

I am linking my project to these challenges:
Stuck On U Sketches  ~ Die Cut Tree
Scrapbookers Anonymous ~ Tag (the Base), Holiday Theme and Glitter
Let's Get Shabby ~ Holly, Snowflake, Tree, Ornament
City Crafter Challenge ~ Home For The Holiday's (Home Decor Project)
Thanks for stopping by Today! Have a wonderful week!

ColourQ #114 - Anything But A Card

Hello fellow Bloggers!
It is Tuesday and time for ColourQ - this weeks challenge was to make anything but a card
with the color palette - what fun!
I have made a gift card holder to hold a Christmas gift I am giving.
Here is a look at my project,,,,,
I used my Sizzix die to cut my chipboard base, which is also covered in Kraft
cardstock. I used my Basic Grey embossing folder for the pocket and
the Tim Holtz rosette die as well. My trims are some OLD K&Co
that I dug out of my Christmas box.

Here is a look at the Colour Palette
Aren't these colors beautiful!!! Be sure to check out the BLOG to see what all
the wonderful projects the team has made ~ the are truly talented ladies!

Stuck On U Sketches and Paper Issues

O Christmas Tree.....
Today I am in the Holiday Spirit, it could be because it is FREEZING here in
Dallas!!! Or maybe because I have been baking cookies and cakes for the last two days. Yes
maybe that is it! Anyway, it is holiday time, and I am entering a Christmas Tree challenge over at
Stuck On U Sketches , it is the Die Cut challenge this time around and
the challenge is Christmas Trees. Here's mine,,,
This little guy stands just over 3 inches tall, including the star on top.
It has 26 layers all together - cut with my Cricut. Whew!

Here is a side view of it,,,
I decorated my tree with glitter, bling and some miniature Gingerbread men. The tree is
the centerpiece for a mini house I am making. it is going to sit right next to the fireplace,,,,

How cute is this little Santa??? He is made from Poly Clay. The fireplace was made brick by brick.
I will have more picks of the house tomorrow, I think! It is almost finished.

I am also linking up over at Paper Issues where the theme is Holiday Madness.
And
Scrappin Chics where the challenge is anything holiday
Be sure to check out SOUS   for their die cut challenge.
Have a great day~!

Stuck On U Sketches - Again

Once again here is the LO I made with the wonderful sketch over at SOUS  ~ if you saw this post earlier in the week, and wondered where it went, let me explain.
I submitted this LO for a challenge over at Helmar USA.
That contest was to take place yesterday - December 1st - and the projects
were to remain anonymous during the voting.
After I put up my blog post it occurred to me what I had done - and I removed the post!
So here it is again :o)
I have used EP papers - love their papers!! So easy to work with. The chippie frame I have had literally FOREVER - I bought it when I first started scrapping. So happy to finally put it to use!
My title is made with Maya Road chippie and Tim Holtz grunge board letters.
Both have been painted with Jennie Bowlin paints.
My journal card is from 7 Gypsies. I used my Fiskars here as well.
These canvas shapes are from Tattered Angels and I have sprayed them
with a couple of colors of Glimmer Mist.
My frame has been spattered, dripped on, misted and painted with
crackle paint. I just wanted it to have some  texture!

Here is a look at the wonderful sketch I used from SOUS
Lovely, isn't it??? You should hop over and take a look
at the new die-cut challenge they have up as well.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Let's Go to Luckenback, TX,,,,,,,

Well, we didn't have Waylin and Willie and the boys - it was just DH and myself.
But we had a great time!!
We got 4 whole nights out of town and away from the house - by ourselves!!!
Haven't done that in a while and it was much needed.
While I am busy scrapping my trip, here is a look at the Rooster that runs around Luckenbach
I swear this rooster was there the last time I went - which was a few years ago.
This bird is a HOOT- he runs around begging from everybody.
They have a few chickens and the rooster - the kids that are there love them.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!! I have pies to bake tomorrow - yummy!
