Aggie Traditions

Of all the Aggie Traditions, this is the one my sweet
daughter holds dearest ~ her precious Aggie Ring.

She worked so hard for that little gold ring - she
couldn't wait to get it on her finger!

Another Aggie Tradition is the ritual "Dunking of The Ring".
Her friends were there to support her in her time of need :0)

I made this LO using the sketch over at Sketchy Thursdays

I have used papers from Bo Bunny, Making Memories, and cardstock from Bazzill. The flowers are from Prima (of course!), embellies from Maya Road, Heidi Grace, Making Memories and my stash. The stamps are Technique Tuesday. The punch is Fiskars, paint by Jenni Bowlin, and ink from VersaMagic. As always I have used my sewing machine for added texture.

Here is a look at the sketch I used,

Don't you just love Sketchy Thursdays? If you haven't been there you should
stop by for sure ~ I love the sketches there and the site is so friendly!

Thanks for stopping by today! It is another cold dreary day in Dallas :(
I am hoping for a return to srping weather soon.

PUMPKIN CARVING

Today it is so COLD here in Dallas! We had to turn the heat back on!!
It was 85 degrees last week and last night it was back in the 40's.
I don't think Mother nature likes us down here!

Today I have a LO of my DD and her silly friends carving pumpkins.
They had such fun just being young!
I have used my Graphic 45 Hallowe'en in Wonderland for this LO.
LOVE those papers!!

I have also used Prima flowers, Cosmo Cricket buttons, a journal tag from
7 Gypsies and VersaMagic ink. The pumpkin and vines I cut using my Cricut
and I highlighted them with VersaMagic ink and Stickles.

Hope it is much warmer where you are! I think I will go and make hot chocolate.
Have a wonderful evening and thank you for stopping by!
Please leave me some blog love!
I would love to know what you think :0)

PLAY BALL

Today I have a LO of my DD and her friends from school - fooling around at the Houston Astros ball park. I have used a PageMap from my stash for this page, I am not even sure how old it is!

I have used my Basic Grey papers for this LO.

How silly are these two? In my effort to USE THE SUPPLIES I HAVE ON HAND I have pulled out my old journal templates and used one here. Love the little detail it adds with the flourishes. The paper lace is from We R Memory Keepers. I have used my sewing machine and all my edges have been inked with VersaMagic.

Who doesn't love that Tim Holtz  die??? I can't tell you how many times I have used it. It is so versatile. The chipboard pieces here are from my stash, the star punch is fiskars, the buttons are Basic Grey, the ribbon is from the craft store, the tickets are Maya Road.

Thanks for stopping by today! It is a beautiful spring day - I can't wait to get into the garden. I have just made a beautiful new flower bed which is empty and needs to be filled :) I love spring.

SPRING BREAK

Is finally OVER! And it is back to work as usual tomorrow :(
I just got back from scrapbook retreat with my friends - what a wonderful weekend that was.

I have a LO that I made with the Project 12  over at Scrapbook and Cards Today.
Love that Blog if you have never been there.

Here is my LO - made with my DD's spring break photos - she and her friends
went to the Grand Canyon on her break from school.
I have used a mix of Basic Grey papers and Bazzill cardstock for this LO. My embellies are from Basic Grey, Maya Road, Creative Imagination, K&Co and my stash.
I love this little tree! And I couldn't resist adding those little Owls from Maya Road.

Here is the Project 12 sketch I have used,,
I hope you had a great weekend where ever you are! I made some wonderful projects while I was away at retreat ~ so be sure to stop back by to take a look.

Thanks - Anita.

EASTER BABY

Can my little girl really be all grown up????

She must be - but she was so stinkin' cute in this photo, taken WAAAY back
when, in 1989, when she was only 1 year old.

Today I have a LO I have made for the Sketchy Thursdays GDT Challenge.
The sketch itself was very cute, plus the extra challenge
was to use spring colors ~ which is right up my alley
because those are my faves anyway!

Isn't she sweet! She is all grown up now - but she still expects and Easter Basket every year!

Here is the sketch

I have used Bazzill cardstock for my base. The other PP's are a mix of The Girls Paperie,
Doodlebug, and then some scraps that I have had forever. I have also
used Prima, Maya Road, Tattered Angels, American Crafts, McGill,
VersaMagic and my sewing machine.

It is spring break here in Dallas, so I am off to play with my younger DD who is home from college.
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

Lucky Charms

Well, Spring Break is here in North Texas - so I am running all over
the place with my DD. We are the local tourists this week and next trying to
squeeze in as many things as possible. I haven't had much time to
spend scrapping needless to say!

I have managed to finish a LO for the

My sweet daughter - eating her morning bowl of cereal. She LOVES cereal!! I rarely use stickers on my LO's - they just don't have enough texture for me, but I bought these cereal themed ones as soon as I saw them because I knew I would use them one day!

Here is the sketch I have used

Creative Imaginations; Stickers: Paper Adventures; Paper Lace: Making Memories; Punch: Fiskars; Enamel Accents: Ranger;

Thanks so much for stopping by - I love to hear what you
think about my work, so please leave a comment!

Your Beautiful Smile

Today I have a LO that I made with CQC #75 these were
not normally colors that I would group together on
a LO so it was a bit of thinking for me!

I have used papers from Heidi Swapp, Graphic 45, Nikki Sivils
Bazzill cardstock, Prima Flowers, some embellies from Pink Paisley,
The Girls Paperie, and rub-ons from Creative Imaginations
The spritz of color is from Tattered Angels.

Here are this weeks colors - I hope you can join us.
Please stop by and take a look at what the other girls
have made too - they are wonderful artists!

Have a great week!

Howdy Pardners!

Today I have a very cute LO made from the
sketch over at Pencil Lines

The sketch this week was for an 8 1/2 X 11 page but I stretched it to a 12X12.

The photo I have used is of my DD when we were camping at
Girl Scout Camp Bette Perot a few years ago.
I have used Carolee's Creations paper and stickers from Adorn It
as well as some other PP from my stash.
The cardstock is Bazzill and the flowers are from Prima.

Here is the sketch I have used...
I usually use more than one photo on a LO - but I only HAD one photo of this -
I wasn't the one taking the pics - so this sketch was perfect!
For the corner of my photo I have used a chippie and inked it in black and brown.
I then painted it with Studio Matte from Claudine Hellmuth - it
really blends ink on chipboard on other surfaces well. I wanted it to look like leather.

I used quite a few metal embellies on this page - I love the star shaped pieces that I mixed in with the banner! I have had those forever just waiting for something to use them with :)
I have used a punch from Fiskars and my sewing machine as well on this page.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are having a great weekend so far!

DADDY'S RAINCOAT

Today I have a LO I made using TCR and Sketchy Thursday 2.24 sketch.

This is my DD in her Daddy's work raincoat.
We were having torrential rain, and she had just come in from
walking the poor little dog. I thought she looked
just too cute in that great big rain coat!

I have used Graphic 45 papers  - the Hallowe'en in Wonderland Collection - love those, Prima flowers and bling, the journal tag is from 7 Gypsies, Tim Holtz metal, Maya Road stick pins and Basic Grey brads. The rick rack is Wrights.
Because I really wanted my star pins to stand out, I inked then with Cotton White, and green StaZon.

Here is a look at the sketch I used

And here is my Color Palette

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

I love to read your comments, so leave some love :0)
