Happier Than,,,,, Frosted Designs

Thank goodness it is Friday~!
One more day, and a night, of camp to go.
We have had the most amazing weather here this week,
it has been absolutely perfect for camping :o)

Today I have my project for Fabulous Fridays at Frosted Designs
and this week the challenge is "Make your own embellishment".
How much fun is that????

Here is my project
This is a 20X20 canvas, I sprayed the background with a variety of inks, letting them drip and run. The birds and branches are cut with my Cricut, and embellished with bling and glitter. I have also used several products from Viva Decor for this piece.

How cute is he?

And here are my embellies that I made. I have a great Tutorial  on how to make
these super easy flowers for you too.  These are made with plain canvas and spray inks.

Be sure to join us at Frosted Designs for our Fabulous Friday challenges.
Every week it is all about using something you already have on hand!

I am also linking up at Use Your Stuff #38 - make it by hand

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Volunteer Gifts

Hello all my blogging friends!
Are you having a great week so far?
I promise I will get around to everyone's blog next week.
Thank you to everyone who has been by to visit with me and
leave such wonderful comments. I will be by to see you just as soon as camp
is over and I have gotten 8 hours of sleep.

And speaking of camp, I wanted to show you the super cute things I made
to give to the wonderful people who volunteer their time with us
to help make camp a success.

These are the gifts we are giving the adult leaders this year

If you have ever been camping, you know how after you brush your teeth, you have to stick your toothbrush back into your bag with it still wet. Then it gets slimy and icky. Well no more, my friends!
How cool is this little thing??? A dish cloth, with a little of one side flipped up, then 5 straight seams sewn in. It makes 4 pockets and then you add a ribbon on the side. Tuck everything in and tie it up!
No, I did not invent this, I saw it on Pinterest. Love that place!

Here is the gift we are giving our older girl helpers
Inexpensive journals, that I decorated the front of. I used plain and patterned
cardstock, stamps from Tim Holtz and 7 Gypsies, and a variety of inks.
These are going into a bag with some other items they will love.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a great week.

Valentine's Day - CSI # 24

Happy Monday blogging friends!
Did you have a great weekend? I had a very busy one and I
have a very busy week ahead. I am the Director for a Girl Scout camp
every summer, and camp starts today! So I will be a little scarce this week.
We have 140 people at camp this year, so I am pretty excited to get started tonight!!

Today I have a layout I made for the CSI Challenge #24 - this weeks colors were a little
out of my comfort zone, I don't normally use red, except in little bitty splotches, and I had
to search my room pretty hard for some greys to meet the criteria!
Papers: Reminisce, Design Originals, Echo Park and Teresa Collins/ Cardstock: Bazzill / Punches: Jenni Bowlin, Martha Stewart / Ink: Tsukineko, Smooch / Bling: Queen & Co, Prima, Kaiser Craft /
Embellishments: MS Crafts/ Prima, Fabric Supply, MME, Twinery, Craft Supply, Jenni Bowlin /
Adhesive: Scotch ATG, Scotch Quick Dry. Beacon 3 n 1, Helmar 450, Glossy Accents /
Other: Claudine Helmuth paint, Viva Decor Pearl Pen, Glitter, Sewing machine, Tiny Attacher

I am all about punching paper right now. Which is a goof thing, considering
that I have 3 drawers full of punches!

The sketch I used Sketchabilitiies had a cloud right by the banner, but for some reason
two butterflies holding up the banner popped into my head. Which also went with the clues
from CSI, add a silver accent, and the color of pure white.

Sooo, I have had this little chipboard accent, since, like, FOREVER. It came in a set that was one of the very first things I bought about 100 years ago. I have been waiting to use it.
I painted it with Claudine H's paint, gave it a couple of accents with a pearl pen and sprayed with Smooch.

Here is the CSI case this week
Very cool, yes. You should join in if you have not already. There is still time.

Here is the fabulous sketch I have used as well

Be sure to check out these great blogs.  They are two of my faves!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Craft Space Blog Hop

Welcome to the Frosted Designs Craft Space Blog Hop!
If you have arrived from Teresa Jaye's Blog you are on the right track.
If not, you might want to start over at the beginning to make sure you see all
the craft space goodness!

So here is a look at my craft space! I am very lucky to have my own room,
outfitted exactly like I want it. I ripped all the flooring out and I have bare cement floors.
I didn't want to worry about what I might get on it. And let me tell you, I
have dumped some things on it!
And let me say thank you so much, to my wonderful hubby, who lets me buy and do
whatever I want. Love you honey!

When you walk in the door this is what you see...

,,,,,my work table, it is an antique trestle table I bought for next to nothing a few years ago.
I have my little rolly cart with all my most used tools on/in it. The rods across the windows are Ikea curtain rods and S-hooks. I keep all the embellies that I reach for the most on those. My sewing machine is to the left on an Ikea drawer unit.

Next up is my Ribbon Ring - this was the best organizational tool I ever bought.
It was worth every cent and then some. I love it.

My desk has my laptop, printer, photo printer, album in progress and a few misc things.

Yes. I did paint all the walls, back when this was DD2's bedroom when we first moved
in the house. There are murals all the way around the room.

Here I have stacked my Iris carts next to some cubicle shelving I have. In the Iris drawers, I
sort things I am collecting for future projects. One drawer is all Texas stuff, one drawer is
all my DD's High School stuff, one is all the cards my DH has ever given me, etc.

Above the closet is my collection of House Mouse stamps. I don't actually
stamp with my House Mouse stamps, I just collect them. Aren't they toooo cute????
Shelves from Ikea (I am telling you - Ikea is the Mother Ship)

This is my wall of shelves. I keep all my lesser used supplies here. These were stamp shelves in a retail store in their previous life. When the company decided to get rid of them, they came home with me. They are so happy here in their retirement years. No obnoxious children hanging or climbing on them!

This is the newest addition to the room - I wanted something to keep my Cinch
out on - I use it all the time. So off to Ikea I went. This little thing was so cheap.
And very sturdy. Right now it has some things I got at convention on it, but it will
have some baskets on the shelves to hold my Cinch supplies very soon.

So this is my happy place - my PRIMA BREEDING PROGRAM. Someday, the world
might run out of Prima flowers. If that ever happens, I plan on having enough of them
in captivity to start breeding my own.

I get TONS of questions about these bins! They are made by Deflecto and you can get
them here. These are some my favorite storage pieces.

Here is my paper storage, another shelf just like the ones in the closet. It had a former
life in a retail store as well. It is perfect for storing my paper in!

I love, love, love my Alex drawer units from Ikea. There are three of them here, sitting
so happily side by side. They come with casters, but I wanted a little more height for
mine, so I took the casters off and put cinder blocks under them instead. They are the
perfect height now, I just turn my chair around and there they are!
I get a ton of questions on these drawers - the Ikea item number is 401.962.41 and
you can find them HERE

I keep tons of things in the drawers, my most used stamps, my inks, die cutting supplies, embellishments, button jars, all my paints and sprays, my punches,,, so many things.

Last, but not least, is by brad storage. I have issues with brads and buttons. I love this little cube,
I bought it from Best Scrapbook Shelf, and it is wonderful to store my brads in. It holds
HUNDREDS of different little containers of brads.

So that is it! My scrappy space.
I hope you have enjoyed a look around my studio.

I would love it if you would hope over to my Facebook Page and like me - you can never
have too many friends, right:? I will look you up straight away too.

Disney World Lollipop

Howdy blogging friends!
How did my weekend go by so fast??

Tonight I have a layout I made with the fabulous challenge over at C.S.I. - I really
like the format of the challenges there. If you have not been by to play along, you
should go check it out. Lots of fun over there!

I have also used the sketch at Lets Get Sketchy - I just found this blog and
I loved the sketch they had up this week.

Here is a look at my layout
I wanted to use this beautiful die cut paper, but I needed a smaller size. So I carefully cut the center section out, then cut the corners of the outside pieces at an angle. I trimmed the inside down to the size I needed, and pieced the outside scallop back on, trimming out a small section on each side to make it fit.
I had this little poly clay accent made by a fabulous artist on Ebay several years ago - I
cannot remember her name! She is so talented and I ordered quite a few unique accents for pages
I planned on making someday! The little butterfly is a Jenni Bowlin punch which I inked, sprayed
with Glimmer mist and added a glitter middle to.

Papers: MME, Fancy Pants,, Cardstock: Core'dinations,, Ink: Tsukineko, Tattered Angels,,
Die Cuts: Authentique, C.S.I. Printables,, Punches: MS, Jenni Bowlin,, Flowers: Prima, Queen and Co,, Brad: MME,, Glitter Pen: Viva Decor,, Transparency: MME,, Hand Made Poly Clay Accent,
Bling: Prima, Teresa Collins,,

Here is the challenge from C.S.I.
This was such fun - and this weeks printables were to die for!!
Thank you Debbie and Team!!

And here is the fabulous sketch I used from Let's Get Sketchy
As you can see, I flipped the sketch over on it's side. And no title - I have decided
that every page I do does not need a title. I journal on every page, and that is enough for me.
I am tired of trying to come up with a title for every single page!

Thanks for stopping by to visit - please leave me a comment so I will know you were here!
Thanks! Anita

That First Kiss - Frosted Designs

Happy Friday fellow bloggers!!
As you read this I am at the Great American Scrapbook Convention
in Arlington, TX. My friend and I decided to book a room and
just stay the whole time this year!

It is Friday so that means there is another Fabulous Friday Challenge
over at Frosted Designs - this week we are using punches.
Any way you wanna use a punch - and you are in!
Here is my project for the week
I have used Basic Grey papers for this layout and none other! That is a first for me I think.
I always have papers from more than one manufacturer! I have used a MS Punch Around
the Edge set, and layers multiple papers punched with the same punch. I inked them
with Quick Quotes Powder Puff and VersaMagic inks and did a little sewing.
I embellished with lots of Prima, some bling, and the die cut flowers and leaves are
K&Co, I outlined them with a Viva Decor Paper Pen. I also used a McGill
punch for the little leaves at the top of my layout. the little charm is The Girls Paperie.
Whew! That is it I think :o)

Be sure to check us out over at the BLOG to see some fabulous things done by the
other ladies on the DT and to play along with us.
All you need is a punch and some paper!

I am also linking up at Southern Girls Challenge Blog - Punches

Thanks for stopping by today, and I hope you have a fabulous weekend!
