Hi everyone! I can't believe I have not
posted since Sunday! It had been a crazy week I have been
baking all week to raise money for the Big Brothers/Big Sisters
Bowl-A-Thon I am participating in tomorrow afternoon.
It is a yearly event for me. One of my BFF's has a son in the program
and it is such a wonderful program! To raise my share of the team's goal
I bake cakes, cookies and other stuff and peddle it all week long.
I hit my goal this afternoon :) I can rest until next year!
Since it is Friday we have a new challenge up at Frosted Designs
and this time around we want you to use CHEVRONS on your project.
Any shape form or fashion - just get 'em on there!
Here is a look at my project
All of my supplies for this project came from The Crafty Scrapper. I have used Authentique and Kaiser Kraft papers along with a kraft background.
This fabulous burlap ribbon is from Maya Road as is the camera die cut. All the other die cuts are Authentique. To make my chevrons I cut 1/2" wide strips from the patterned paper.
(sorry about the shadow!)
Love, love ,love this little burlap pennants from Maya Road. I painted these in two colors and sprinkled glitter in them. When the paint was dry I brushed a glossy top coat on them.
Here is a better look at my chevrons. the brass butterfly is Maya Road.
I took lots of pieces of the pattern paper and layered them to make my photo mat. Some are crumpled to give it more texture. Everything is inked as it goes down. The frame around the photo is from a die cut sheet and I used foam tape underneath to give it dimension.
This photo is of my friends and I at The Dallas Summer Musicals.
We have season tickets every year and this show was Shrek - it was so funny!
I am linking up at the following challenges:
Challenge Me Happy - Anything goes
Use Your Stuff - Summer (Dallas Summer Musicals)
Divas By Design - Anything goes
Southern Girls Challenge - Banners/ waving in the breeze
Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to hop on over to Frosted Designs
to join in the fun. You have almost two whole weeks to get your project linked up!
May the flamingos be with you
