The Flock Takes Flights - Sparkle N Sprinkle

Hi Everyone,, We are almost to Christmas!!
Our family is having our Christmas today, because my
DD2 is moving to Alaska and she leaves on Christmas Day!

My layout today is using Sparkle N Sprinkle products- have you tried
their Microfine Glitter and Embossing Powders yet???
They are AWESOME!!
I have used Basic Grey papers- they are an assortment of lines here,
some I have had forever!
For the flowers I used Brushable Glue and covered with Starfire Glitter. I used Flourishes 1 to create
my pattern on the pink paper here.

I used Tear-iffic-Tape on several layers of the papers to add
glittered stripes. Seriously- this tape is one of the best things ever! Simply apply the tape where
you want some sparkle, peel of the protective backing and burnish with glitter. Easy peasy!

Here I used two different widths of Tear-iffic-Tape to create two glittered stripes.
For the ribbon, I started with a plain fabric ribbon and stamped my sentiment
directly onto it. This is a super easy way to get custom ribbons.

Here is a closer look at my heat embossed background. I used Princess Rose EP and
VersaMark ink for this.

Here is another great way to use Tear-ific-Tape- I applied it to the edge of
my paper strip, used a border punch on it, peeled of the protective backing
and then burnished with glitter. To finish up my layout, I used my machine
to sew around the outside edge, then doodled with a white pen. This layout has a lot of layers
on it, but I can still fit it in a page protector because it is not too bulky.
Bulky has been a problem for me of late ;o)

Here are a couple of quick projects I made this month
My annual Brunch invitations - I wanted to jazz them up a little bit, so I
added a bit of sparkle using Tear-iffic-Tape and Glitter, so easy!

I wanted to dress up a plain Jane candle, so I started by stamping some simple background images
using StazOn inks. I applied 2 1/2" Tear-iffic-Tape to a piece of cardstock, and
border punched both edges. I removed the paper backing, added a piece of
patterned paper down the center (this was tricky, I admit) and then burnished the bare edges
with my glitter.
I used Tear-iffic-Tape and scrap pieces of cardstock, punched my stars,
removed the paper backing and added glitter.

Have you joined in the fun at the Sparkle N Sprinkle Challenge yet?
The deadline is the 25th and, as always, the theme is Anything Goes
use glitter, embossing powder, and/or flocking.
There are some great prizes to be had, so be sure to check it out!!

time with family and friends!

Authentique and Maya Road Christmas Banner

Howdy blogging buddies!
It does not feel like it is almost Christmas here in Dallas!
It has been pouring down rain since the wee
hours of the  morning. *sigh* Very weird weather we are having!!

Today I want to share a project I made a little while ago and forgot to blog!
Anyone else have the problems from time to time??
I think I am going senile- which is a shame considering how young I am!!

I used Authentique's paper and die cut stickers for this, along with a  LOT
of Maya Road embellies, some gesso, some paint, some Glitter Glam,
some Prima & I Am Roses flowers,,, you name it and I piled it on there!

I used a Maya Road coaster album for this project - I have had these
chipboard a loooooooong time, so I am glad to finally put them to use.

The stocking is MR from a Coaster album, and the snowflake is covered in white vintage glass.

The base piece of CB was painted white, then I seriously poured on the Glitter Glam
and dried with a heat gun. I wanted a bubbly, chunky looking effect.

This section is about an inch think - I started with the CB base, then added a transparency,
some crumpled vintage music sheets, and finally the fussy cut title.
I sprayed the whole bit with Shimmer Mist.

I used a little kraft envelope to hold my journal card,, more snowflakes,
flowers, some washi tape, fussy cut piece, and the cute little Christmas Tree
clip from MR.

I made my flower by cutting many layers of vintage sheet music with my scalloped
circle punch. I crumpled them, sprayed them with Glimmer mist, layered
them together with a brad for a center, then added Glitter Glam to the whole thing.

Hope you are having a GREAT Christmas season!
Much love to you and your family - be happy and healthy and safe!

The Last Christmas - Frosted Designs Mixed Media Paper Kit

Howdy blogging friends, are you ready for Christmas???
I am almost there, a few more things and I will be done!

Today I want to share my second project from the

This is such an AWESOME kit! You are
going to want one for sure!

This kit has so many great pieces I really didn't add that much to it.
I threw in the Dusty Attic chipboard and the lg Prima Flower, the brad is from last months kit.

I sprayed my cardstock with the Heidi Swapp Color Shine included in the kit - pretty much covered
the whole sheet with a light mist.

I cut the stars from the sheet of white glitter felt and outlined
them with the Frosted Lace Stickles (both included) I sprayed the Linen Star with the Gold Color Shine
and outlined it with a white pen. The star chipboards are from UmWow, I sprayed with
White Dylusions, dried with my heat gun, then sprayed with the Gold Color Shine.

Here is another look at one of the stars, I used the heat gun to bubble up the spray inks.
You can also see the texture on the chipboard piece; I used modeling paste in a thick
heavy coat, then let it dry. I sprayed the whole thing with Gold Color Shine, then a little spritz of the Red Perfect Pearls. When it was dry I applied a light coat of ink.

Here is another look at the chipboard. The resin flower is included in the kit too!

I used the cheesecloth from the kit for a mat behind my photo. I sprayed
the cloth with Gold Color Shine, dried with a heat gun, then cut with my
pinking scissors.

Frosted Designs Mixed Media December Kit Reveal & Tutorial

Love, love , love the blues on the Christmas lines this year.
I used a LOT of spray ink on this layout- the doily was pretty much
soaked with the Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine.

I layered several die cuts next to my photo. For my background I used a stencil, Molding Paste, Gelatos® and glitter -there is a tutorial below.
Here is a close-up of the background. I wrapped this beautiful sparkly tulle around
my paper for more dimension. The wooden stars were sprayed with the Perfect Pearls Forever Red.

For my title I painted chipboard first with acrylic paint, then I sprayed with the Perfect Pearls Forever Red and the Gold Color Shine. It is a little hard to see the gold in the photo, but it is pretty visible in person!

For the flowers, I sprayed them with the Gold Color Shine first, then spread Frosted Lace Stickles
around the edges of the petals. The chipboard snowflakes were covered
with the Stickles and while wet I added some bling.

I used a gold paint pen on the edge of the paper that you see here. For the texture on top of the buttons, I mixed gloss gel, glitter, and beads and spread on top.
I added the Stickles in the corners of the papers.

I sprayed the tiniest, tiniest bit of Forever Red ink on the corner here.
Seriously, I held the paper like 2 feet from the sprayer and misted one time.
I just wanted a little blush of color there.

Tutorial:

For the background here are the steps:
I put a small amount of my Gelatos® on my paper and mixed with Molding Paste.
I spread this over my stencil and while the stencil was still in place,,,,,

I sprinkled my glitter on and pressed it into the paste.

Ta-da!  This is a super easy technique and you will love how it looks.

For the texture on top of the buttons, I mixed Gloss Gel, beads, and Diamond Dust Glitter together.

Put a piece of scrap paper over your photo and spread the mixture all over. I put mine on
pretty heavy, but you can always put less. Put it aside to dry overnight. In the morning I
gave it a spritz with the Gold Color Shine.

Sweet 16 Birthday Party - Sparkle N Sprinkle new stamp set!

Howdy blogging buddies!
I am so happy to say that we have POWER again!
Wow- 36 hours without it, and we were ready for it to come back.

Of course, it came back on the exact second that I unboxed the
brand new, really expensive, non-returnable generator that I had just bought!
Thank you very much!

Today I want to share a project that I made using some fabulous
Sparkle N Sprinkle products including the new stamp set Geraniums

I have used MME papers - I am so totally in love with these two lines!
I also used Prima, Sizzix, EK Success, Tsukineko, Spellbinders, Stampin' Up,
and some random chipboard from my stash.

To coat my chipboard I used a new product from Sparkle N Sprinkle - Magic Speckle.
You can see my tutorial on it here

For the edge of my doily I used SNS Brushable Glue and Celestial Glitter

I cut the leaf branches from a Sticker Sheet and then burnished my glitter on.
For the chipboard flowers I painted them then added Cloud Nine Glitter while wet.

Here is a close up of the chipboard with Magic Speckle.

For mu journal spot, I cut with a Spellbinders Label die, then used a complimentary
ink to stamp my background images. I stamped my sentiment in black next.
