Friends Layout w/ Faber-Castell

Good morning blogging friends!
I hope you have having a fabulous weekend so far!
I spent Friday at the Scrapbook Expo in Grapevine, TX
and although I did not get much of a chance to shop, I did manage
to pick up a few things!

Today I have my DT project for Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft®
I love how the Mix and Match System lets you pick your
color and start creating. The Color Dots let you know
which color family you are working with so you
can change mediums with no fear. Your project will come out
well matched and looking fabulous!

I really love to outline die cut elements on my pages, it gives them so much extra dimension. For the scalloped circle I used PITT® Artist Pens in Black on the inside and Stampers Big Brush Pen in Cobalt Turquoise #153 on the outside.  I also used Stampers Big Brush Pens in White and Permanent Olive Green for my chipboard stars.
Chipboard is my friend when it comes to layouts, and for this piece I used a variety of mediums- PITT Artists Pen®, Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils®, Gelatos®, and PITT® Pastel Pencils. You can get amazing results on chipboard using simple techniques using these products! For a tutorial on how I made this piece, hop over to the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Blog to check it out and see the whole project.

I am linking up at the following challenges:
Southern Girls Challenge - pennants/banners
Just Us Girls - photo challenge
Paper Issues - Spring Theme

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a fabulous week,
Anita

A Page in Time Yearly Album at The Crafty Scrapper

Howdy blogging friends! How is your week going??
I am back from the road trip with the hubs and we had a
really good time. We did a whole lot of nothing, but it was in a different city
so that was nice!

I want to share an album I taught as a workshop at The Crafty Scrapper using
the fabulous new Graphic 45 papers A Page In Time.
There are a few kits left - very few - and you can
get one by contacting the store directly.
The kit includes the materials for all twenty six (yes 26!!) 8X8 pages, a WRMK
Leather Album, page protectors, extra photo pages, AND - this is huge-
I have already PRE-CUT the papers for you. Yes, the papers for each
month are pre-cut and clipped together. You can't beat that!

There were only 8 kits left last week and they are taking them to Scrapbook Expo this weekend
so if you want one, don't wait! They will be gone after this weekend I promise.

The kit comes with full color instructions on how to assemble each page.
This is a great album and you will love it!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Just Like It was Yesterday,,,,

Hi Everyone,, hope you are having a great week so far!

Today there is a new palette up over at ColourQ
The colors were a little tricky for me, Always Artichoke is
not one of my favorites! But I managed to pull it together.
This is a photo from my DD2 1st birthday party.

I have used kraft paper for the background. The large chipboard is Technique Tuesday and I have painted it with Cherry Cobbler and added a pearl paint over it. My papers are MME and I added a few flowers and journaling. Pretty simple for me, but I wanted to focus on my one little photo!

Here is a look at the new palette up to work with this week
Be sure to stop by and play along. You have until Monday to link your
project up on the blog.

Thanks for stopping by today - I am out of town on
my anniversary trip with the hubs :)

Sick Days

Hi everyone! It is Friday again and I am ready for the weekend :)
How about you? Do you have great plans?

We have a new challenge going on over at Frosted Designs today and
we are asking you to Be Bold! Use bold colors and patterns on your project
this week.
I have a layout from when my daughter was sick
last month. She made her base camp on the
couch and she collected quite a pile of "stuff" on the ottoman!

My papers are MME - a random collection of papers left over from other projects. I used a 2" and 1 3/4" circle punches for the border down the side. The journal strips are from Recollections.
I placed one row of circles and sewed them in place, then the second layer and another seam.
The rolled flowers is from my new Art Philosophy cart from CTMH.
My alphas are Carta Bella, and I journaled with my PITT® Artist Pen in black.

Be sure to join us at Frosted Designs for our Be Bold challenge. You
have two weeks to get your project linked up.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Valentine Mini Album - Faber-Castell®

Hi everyone!~ Hope you are having a great week so far :)
I am all unpacked from retreat and catching up and realized that the
posts I scheduled to go up while I was away did not post :(
I dislike updating my software, because I always seem to have these
kinds of problems afterwards!

today I have a DT project  using a
lovely Maya Road Album to share. I decorated it using
Faber-Castell® products. This album was a lot of fun to make!!!
All the products for this project can be found at The Crafty Scrapper
I used Gelatos®, Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils, Stampers Big Brush Pens, Paper Crafters Crayons, and Metallic PITT® Artists Pens to color the cover. For a tutorial on how it was made. hop over to the Faber-Castell® Design Memory Craft Blog to check it out.
I finished to cover with Prima flowers, twine, stick pin, and a little
embossed heart from Maya Road.
As you can see I added tons of stuff !
The inside of the front cover.
The inside of the back cover.

I have used Authentique's new line of paper, lots of Maya Road goodness, Tsukineko inks, 7 Gypsies tags, Prima flowers, Tim Holtz dies, Spray inks, and a few other odds and ends from my scrap room.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a wonderful week!

Butterfly Kisses - ColourQ #175

Hi blogging friends! We are half way to the weekend now!!
I am off to retreat this weekend I am ready to GO!
We leave at 8am Friday morning and will be back Sunday night.
Yiiipppppeeee!!!!!

Today I have my design team project for ColourQ. I am a day behind,
I have been having blogger issues since I updated my browser last week. Sorry!
Now, for those of you who have followed along with me for a while, have you ever seen me put so little on a layout??? NO, you haven't! I swear I am working on my white space issues :) Because, really, the transparency is like patterned paper, so look at all the WHITE SPACE I have!!

I used my beautiful Hambly overlay for this - the entire butterfly layer is a transparency. Sigh. I miss Hambly Studios! I used my Fiskars punch for the little paper strips, the orange paper lace is K&Co. - the paper was white and I inked it to match my colors. The die cuts are Pink Paisley, the white key-hole is Melissa Frances, and I have added bling by Recollections and red twine from The Twinery. I have had that pink stripe paper for so long I do not remember who made it - sorry! The polka dot paper behind my photo is Graphic 45. I used my PITT® Artist Pen in Medium to do my journaling - I wanted something that would not smear on the transparency.

Here is a look at this week's palette
You have until Sunday at noon to join in the fun and link up your project over on the
blog. The Royal Court has some fabulous inspiration up this week so be sure to
stop by and check it out!

I am linking up with the following challenges:
Challenge Me Happy- White Space
Berry 71 bleu - White Space
Use Your Stuff - Red, Pink and one other color
The Southern Girls - Bling It On

Thanks for stopping by to say hi!

JFF card - Winter Trees

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great weekend so far!
Is anyone having blogger issues besides me? I updated my
browser earlier this week and have been having issues ever since??

Anyhoo, I wanted to share a card I made with some fabulous stamps from
Just For Fun. I love the two toned color of this card. I was
inspired by one I saw on pinterest. Is that the best site ever???
The card is 5 X 7 and I used the new embossing folder from Cuttlebug that I picked up
this past weekend at the stamp show. I used my Cricut to cut the label shape & shadow. I stamped my main image twice using two tones of brown ink, added grass with a black pen, and a red cardinal to the top of the tree. The flowers are Prima and the brad is Basic Grey.
Here you can see that I also stamped a dark brown image onto the brown contrast cardstock. I wanted to keep everything on the card neutral except the bird so it would stand out.
I used the following stamps:

Thanks for stopping by today.
I have lots of great projects I have made over the last week, I just have
not been able to get them posted. I am hoping that my issues are finally resolved!
