Sparkle N Sprinkle Reveal March 1

Howdy everyone!

Welcome to Sparkle N Sprinkle's March 1 Reveal.

This month at SNS are featuring five versatile stamp sets.
Two of the sets are perfect for Christmas.
Many of our customers said they promise themselves to make Christmas cards a little bit each month, all year long, but they fail to find the time. So this month's technique kit uses the pretty Red Cardinal drawn by Rosiland Solomon.

The Winter Cardinal stamp set is available by itself on line.
It is also included in Jazzy Jill's Technique Video for the month.

The first of the month also means a new challenge at SNS Creative Challenges where the theme is always
"Anything Goes with Loose Glitter, Embossing Powder and/or Flocking."

My project today uses the new SNS Crystal Medallion!
I LOVE my DD2s Senior Portrait- we are
all about the bluebonnets here in Texas!

#864 Crystal Medallions

Also being released this month:

Winter Cardinal #518

Iris Frame #532

Springtime Spunky #537

I have used Bo Bunny papers and Bazzill cardstock for this layout, along with

I stamped my image with VersaMark and covered it with Pearlescent Chalk from Pebbles.
My sentiment is from #491 Tulips, which I stamped on plain white cardstock, die cut
with my nesties, die cut a second layer of cardstock that I covered with 2 1/2" Tear-Ific Tape,
then burnished with GM2014 Peruvian Lily .

My chippie is from Dusty Attic and I have heat embossed it using

This little chippie from Blue Fern Studios I painted white, then coated
just the tips with EP121 Cotton Candy.

For this butterfly, I printed the image on 99602 Embossable Clear Acetate,
roughly cut around it, then applied #SAT11 2 1/" Tear-ific Tape to the back.
I then fussy cut the image, and used my Tonic knife to cut the paper backing
just along the body of the butterfly. Remove the rest of the paper backing,
and sprinkle with glitters- I used G1028 Carnation and G1090 Cyclamen.
Remove paper backing from body, then adhere to layout!
Really easier than it sounds here- I promise!

At the Beach with Sparkle N Sprinkle

Good morning everyone!
As you are reading this, I am waking up in Tortola, B.V.I.
The Hubs and I are in the Caribbean for 16 days island hopping
to celebrate our 25th Anniversary.
I will have plenty of picks when I get back!

Today I want to share a project for Sparkle N Sprinkle
You know, I am just a little obsessed with glitter.
I love my sparkle!

This layout is from our last cruise two years ago- we love to cruise!
I have used October Afternoon papers for this layout.

For this Maya Road chippie I coated with gesso and let dry, then coated
with VersaMark and EP137 Shimmer and heat emboss.

The Sandcastle is from #403 By The Seashore, and I used
Mudd Puddles for the "water" underneath.

For the chipboard title, mask off the shells on the end using scrap paper, cover the word
with Peruvian LilyGL using Brushable Glue. Mask off the word; ink the shells white, then heat emboss using VersaMark and Princess Rose

This paper is sooooo cute for those pics of your fur babies!

In addition to the Bo Bunny I have used some Prima, some punches,
some Tsukineko inks, some Maya Road and some American Crafts.

How cute is that paw print paper?? The round chippie is Maya Road, I have inked it and added
accents with a white pen. The heart chippie is Blue Fern Studios. The stamp is Wendi Vecchi.

Alphas, flower, and both wood hearts are Maya Road. The chalkboard journal spot

new CHALLENGE at The Crafty Scrapper??

This month the challenge is to use
MASKS or STENCILS

and we would love to see it!

Here is my project,,,,
For this layout I have used new Authentique Papers Elegant.
Who loves the Quatrefoil pattern besides me?? I am hoping it is this years hexagon :o)

To create my mask, I used my Cameo and cut this pattern from scratch paper.
I used Wendi Vecchi's Embossing Paste, which I colored with Gelatos® to stencil the pattern on.
These fabulous wings are from Maya Road, and I have used several
embossing powders and glitters on them.
I used Dylusions Lemon Peel  for the heart, Maya Road alphas and rhinestone button.

Brads and bling from October Afternoon, Queen and Co, Teresa Collins and others.

I don't buy  lot of stamps, but I think I have every one of Wendi Vecchi's-
her sayings are amazing!

Catching Bugs with Sparkle N Sprinkle

Hi everyone in blogland!!
How is your weekend going so far??

Today I have a project for Sparkle N Sprinkle to share with you;
a layout from one of my Girl Scout Troops today, one of our annual camping trips.

I have been a Girl Scout Volunteer for 20+ years now, and I LOVE to camp!
Here is my youngest troop during our fall camp.

Bug hunting was a must for every camp trip :)
I used Imaginisce papers, some random chippies from my stash,
my new Cameo to cut the title, some bling from Want2Scrap and Bazzill Cardstock.

I really wanted a jar full of bugs for this layout, so I used Stamp #523 Fill The Jar, stamping the jar on vellum with Black StazOn ink. I layered the bugs and flowers onto the vellum, then added the acetate piece on top, trimming to fit.

I used the frog from #478S Nature Stamp, colored with Watercolor Pencils, and cut out. To make my "warts" I used the Sakura Glue Pen and cover with EP418 Moss and heat emboss.

I colored my dragonfly with watercolor pencils, then used the Sakura Glue pen to outline wings and
sprinkled with SS117 Sparkling Sea.
For chipboard pieces, heat emboss using VersaMark and the following colors: EP420 Pear, EP422 Cappuccino, and EP414 Tuscan Sun. Next spray the piece with a heavy coat of MM110 Gold Metallic Memories Mist, and use a heat gun to dry. This will mute the colors and give it a nice fall look!

For more detailed instructions on this layout be sure
to check out My Gallery on Sparkle N Sprinkle.

Frosted Designs and Vintage Teresa Collins

Hi everyone- I dearly hope that where  ever you are
you are sunny and WARM.

I am hoping that my toes will thaw about before summer.
Just sayin'.

Ok, so today I have a new layout to share with you using some fabulous
stuff from Frosted Designs!!

My project today is made mostly with the Love Is In The Air Kit, with a little bit of
other stuff from the store thrown in for good measure!

I have made 3 projects with this kit, and I am pretty sure I am going to make one more!!
Be sure to hop over to the store and get yours today!

Soooo,, my DD1 was a SR Camp Counselor this one year,, and she
had a unit of 2nd graders,,,, and this was Thursday night of camp week,
and it rained, and these little girls LOVED her,,

and she was so over it!

I have used the Teresa Collins papers from the Love Is In The Air Kit, and added
a few more Teresa Collins pieces- let's call them vintage. Yeah, VINTAGE- that's what they are!
These Vintage papers are brought to you all the way from 2008 and the Journal It line!
The chipboards are Technique Tuesday.

I started with spray inks on the background, then used Molding Paste, a stencil and the
Ranger Distress  Glitter to make the background. I colored my chipboard heart with
Rose Metal Gelatos® and then added a little Heidi Swap Color Shine to it.

Flowers, Journal Card, and Alpha's are all from the kit. I used a black journal pen
to add a little detail to the journal card.

Die Cut stickers from the kit to add a little detail in the upper corner. I used my Gold Gelatos® to color the  chipboard piece around the outside edge; the white accent is made with a Stampers Big Brush Pen from Faber-Castell®. The inner piece of chipboard was painted. For the heart chippie, I painted the inner piece white, then stamped the little tiny hearts on it.

Look at my little cutie pie!

These little wood veneer arrows from Studio Calico are just too cute. I love to use
them for calling attention to something on a layout!

So there you have it! Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful week, and try to stay warm!!
