Embellished Christmas Stocking

Who doesn't love a beautiful embellished Christmas stocking? I also love all the parties that Christmas brings. Last week I went to a Girls Night Out and we had a Stocking Exchange. Being the crafty person that I am, I grabbed some Rinea Foil and a trusty Sizzix die and went to work!

I love Eileen Hull's flower dies - and they are perfect for cutting Rinea foil with. You can cut several layers at a time which makes the work go quicker. I used both the smooth foil and the embossed foil for this project.

I ended up using multiple dies, stacking several layers of petals together and using a tiny attacher to hold them together. I used my Surebonder hot glue gun to attach the Maya Road resin flower to the middle.

Shaping the foil is a breeze - just pinch the petals, or roll them around a pencil. They stay just where you put them!

Be sure to check out Rinea Foil - they have some amazing products  and you are going to love them! Their inspiration team is wonderful too - so many great ideas for you to see.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Etched Christmas Ornament Workshop

Etched Glass Christmas Ornaments

I was so happy to teach my Etched Christmas Ornament Workshop at the second annual Christmas Carousel at The Crafty Scrapper a couple of weeks ago. This event is so much fun! Participants get to go home with FIVE completed projects at the end of the day.  I love to show off how easy glass etching is using etchall® Etching Creme

Participants had the option of coloring their etched design with ink (shown above) or adding detail with a white pen. (I recommend Signo)

Everyone had a great time learning new skills. We used flat disc ornaments from Hobby Lobby for the base and stencils I cut using etchmask® on my Cameo

We finished off the ornaments with a bow and some simple embellishments. They are perfect for hanging on the tree or giving as a gift!

Are you looking for a craft good time to have with your friends? Etched Christmas ornaments are wonderful to create while you catch up with your friends.

Noel Card Holder

 Christmas Card Holder
I love to display my Christmas cards each year. They are such a fun way to add to your decor. This Noel Card Holder is so cute (look at those reindeer!) and super easy. You can make one for you and a friend too.

Supplies:

I pulled some cute die cut shapes from my Christmas box and adhered my letters one to each die cut.

I used Tombow Xtreme Tabs  to adhere the embellishments to the top half of the VersaGrip Clips.  These little tabs are CLEAR and they hold so well it is amazing.

For this project I used the Wide Clip Sign Holders and the Double Clip Sign Holders.  Clip the embellished clip to a ribbon leaving the bottom clip empty for your amazing Christmas cards!  ( How cute are these little canvas Reindeer?? )
