PAGE MAPS AND SCRAPDANGO's

Today I have a LO for a challenge over at the PageMaps Blog and it is sponsored by Scrapdango's

I have to say - this is not my favorite LO of all time :(     I pulled out some Jenny Bowlin papers that I bought a while ago, because I LOVE them and I thought they would be perfect for this sketch
But I had a really hard time making the rest of my page come together. Here is the finished project
I have used lots of different product on this LO, including:
Core'dinations cardstock, Bazzill, Jenny Bowlin, Pink Paislee, The Girls Paperie, Grunge board, Jolees, Melody Ross, Maya Road, Martha Stewart, Ranger, Kaiser Kraft, Teresa Collins, chipboard, and some stamps!

Thanks for stopping by, and hope your week is great!

PROJECT 12 JANUARY PAGE

This year I have decided to play along with the monthly challenge over at Scrapbook and Cards Today Magazine

It is called Project 12
and the deal is to make a two page LO every month and at the end of the year you will
have a complete album covering that year! Sounds like a plan, right?

So here it is the end of January, and I have finished my first LO.
The girls and I made a road trip down to Austin a couple of weeks ago, and really that is the only thing that happened this month! I have used October Afternoon papers and a hodge podge of embellies from my stash.
Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

BIG HUNK OF LOVE PART 2

here is the second installment of the mini book I made. I am just so in LOVE with this Maya Road heart shaped album. I am so bummed that I didn't buy two of them!
I have added some crocheted lace from an old project and some Basic Grey buttons.

My wonderful friend Sandy makes these crocheted flowers for me - she is the BOMB!

Maya Road trim, Prima flowers, and LYB transparency
I have used my nesties to cut the photo and the background.

I have used a Bazzill chippie, covered it with Basic Grey paper and used cut up doilies to make the ruffle behind it.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful start of their weekend! It is finally warm here in Texas so I am looking forward to spending a little time outside.

A BIG OL' HUNK OF LOVE!!

A wedding album for my wonderful neighbor who got married last Labor Day Weekend is what I have to show you today.

I am all about making Valentines and heart shaped projects right now!
I bought this heart shaped album from MAYA ROAD a couple of weeks ago, and when I pulled out the pics from the wedding, I thought ~ PERFECT!

I have a ton of pics, so I am breaking this up into two posts ~ half today and
half tomorrow :0)

For the front cover I have used Basic Grey paper which I have inked, some lace from an old project, buttons and ribbon from my stash and a big hunk of LOVE from the craft store. All the transparencies in the book are from LYB.
For this page I have made a flower with a punched border strip and added a brad for a center. I have used my Nesties to cut almost all the photos and mats on this project.

This is the accomplice who lives next door, by now she should be looking familiar to you if you frequent my blog. She is my DD's BFF. These flowers are from Prima.

At the rehearsal.   I have sewn this mat and added a little bling to the page. Other than the BG paper on the front, all the papers for this project came from my stash. I am on a mission this year to USE UP MY PAPER.

This was a difficult photo - I'm not sure who took it, but the lighting was bad, and they were walking INTO the light, so they are really hard to see in the big photo. I thought taking this butterfly from Tattered Angels to block out the rest of the photo really made them a little more visible.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing half the album. I will post the other half tomorrow night.
Thanks for stopping by, and I would love to hear your thoughts on my project - please leave me a comment!

Inked

Today I have a LO I made for this weeks ColorQ Challenge. The colors were a bit of a stretch for me ~ but I had just bought that wonderful paper last week while in Austin, so that helped a LOT!
 Here are the colors,,,
And here is my take on it
The patterned papers are from Graphic 45 - the Christmas Past Collection. The journal card is 7 Gypsies, the flowers from Prima (of course!), the brads Basic Grey, the buttons are Cosmo Cricket, the clock cut out is from The Girl's Paperie - LOVE that little box of stuff!! I have sewn a little, inked a little and doodled a little, just for the fun of it :0)

I think I am finally back among the living - thank all of you who emailed me and left me comments so much! I even have my voice back now - although I still sound like a man!

sorry, sorry, sorry!

I am still sick here - tonsillitis and an infection in both ears - and I have done nothing but lay on the couch for days. I am hoping to get back into the swing of things in a couple of days and get a couple of projects that I finished posted here. Please stop back by in a day or so, as I have a BEAUTIFUL Valentines wedding album to show you and a new LO for my ColorQ DT debut.

Hope you are all in better health than me and having a great weekend!
Anita

Wicked

Today I have a LO using Inspiration Board #174 over at Color Combos Galore the colors are my favorites - pinks! Here is a look at the board...
Absolutely LOVE these colors!!! Here is a look at my LO. This photo was taken a my DD opened her graduation gift - we bought her tickets to the musical Wicked - but it took her a minute to realize that they were for the Broadway production and not the local production!
I have used paper from Prima, Bazzill Cardstocks, Flowers from Prima and from my sweet friend SandyVint who made the beautiful crocheted flowers for me - she is SUCH a doll! The title letters and other die cuts are from The Girls Paperie - love her new line. The ribbon is May Arts and Offray and the metal accents are Tim Holtz. The bling is by Recollections. I have used my sewing machine to stitch around my photo mat.

Self Portrait

Today I have a LO of my DD and our cute neighbor. They have been buddies forever ~ as long as we have been neighbors. This was taken at the State Fair of Texas this past October. For those of you who are not lucky enough to live in Texas, we have the largest state fair in the country - truly a sight to behold!
I have used the colors from over at ColorQ for this LO. Here is a look at the colors
LOVE this color combination. And I had the perfect papers for it! I have used a Prima paper I have been saving (read: hoarding) for a while. It is beautiful and embroidered, with a sequins and and lace along one edge. I have also used foo-fa-la, Little Yellow Bicycle and Basic Grey. The embellishments are from EK Success, Prima, and some others from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by. We are having a SNOW STORM here in Dallas, which is so unusual. I am headed for Austin tomorrow, with the two nuts pictured above. We are going to be doing some serious hanging out. And probably some scrapbook shopping, if I can squeeze it in!

Valentine

Today I have for you a sweet valentine that I made for a SWAP. I got my idea when I spotted the great felt base in the $$ bin at a local craft store. From there the project just seemed to take shape! The only requirement for this SWAP was that the actual project had to be in the SHAPE of a heart.
Everything else was left up to me :0) Here is what I came up with.

I have added a larger base of Bazzill cardstock, then trimmed that with a scalloped velvet ribbon. The patterned papers are Daisy D's and Anna Griffin. The beautiful die cuts are new from K&Co. The flowers are all from Prima.
On the back I have added more of the cute die cuts, some more of the velvet ribbon and a spray of flowers. I have added a wonderful velvet ribbon to hang this with.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. I am about to head out of town with my DD and her BFF to spend a little hang time in Austin, TX.

Sweet Baby

Kiera
This sweet baby girl is my BFF's God Child. She is sooooo cute!
I made this LO using the sketch over at Pencil Lines and Pallete #39 over at The Color Room

Here is my take on the sketch and the palette

I have used Creative Imaginations, Bo Bunny, DCWV, Basic Grey, Prima, The Girls Paperie, Fiskars Punch, Technique Tuesday stamps and chipboard cut with my Sizzix dies.

Hope you are having a wonderful week. Thanks for stopping by :0)
Hugs ~ Anita

Not a bad deal, because there are so many wonderful color combinations to choose from.
Here is the first one,,,
This is from my DD's Debutante Ball. She and her friends were having the best time. I have used ColorQ Challenge #1

For this LO I have used Bazzill cardstock, Close To My Heart Papers, and random embellies from my stash.

The second LO is of my Dear Gussie, at a family fish fry - rednecks at play :0)
I have used ColorQ Challenge #13 for this one

For this LO I have used papers from Bo Bunny, Prima flowers, embellies from Making Memories (the brown ones in the middle) and others from my stash.
