Alice in Wonderland - Part two

Hello everyone, I am back again with more pics of my Alice mini. Such a relaxing day today! Breakfast and shopping with my DD, then reading the paper here at home just lying around,,,, a perfect Sunday. I hope yours was wonderful as well.

On to the pics, here we go,,,,
These were the favors we made, very fun, but I will never use M&M's again at a party!
My Posse and I,  - love those crowns I dug out of my stash to use on this page!

This banner I love, and the little charm in the corner is another jewelry department find.

I used my Cricut to cut the title, then used my Ranger Enamel Accents to give it dimension.

This acrylic page I stamped across the bottom with a Basic Grey border stamp. Notice the jewelry charm on the right edge - that is one half of a clasp - the other half is on the other side of the page.

I gathered a handful of the ribbons I used on the project and tied them all to the edge of the page.
I love that these "kids" were having such a good time!

Thanks for stopping by and visiting with me! Tomorrow I will have the last of the pics from this mini album, please stop by and have a look at them :0)

Alice in Wonderland Mini Book

Hello everyone in blogland, it is a wonderful weekend here and I have a very cute mini book that I made for my DD's graduation party.

Her theme was Alice In Wonderland so I have used the perfect papers from Graphic 45
Hallowe'en in Wonderland - the perfect Alice papers! I love the colors, I love the graphics, I love everything about them!

I have so many pics of this album I am going to break it up into a couple of posts.
Here are a few of them,,,,

This is the front cover. I have used a mixture of acrylic and chipboard pages in the album. It was a Little Yellow Bicycle blank.

take a look at these beautiful charms I found to use on the spine. These, and the ones inside are Blue Moon - from the jewelry section.

Here is page one and the party girl. I have used a Fiskars punch, Maya Road lace,  Prima flowers, metal charm and some stuff from my stash.

Take my advice, never use M&M's for in your party favors, even the adults will use them to throw at each other!

Page 3, and I have used my EK Success punch on the scallop on the binding - which is the same on all the pages. Notice the super cute charm on this page.

This is another of the acrylic pages. I have used Prima and
some more Jewelry charms on this page.

The back of the 1st acrylic page, I have used more primas, and
some little ribbon roses I picked up at the craft store.

I have lots more photos, but I didn't want to have the longest blog post in history! So please check back tomorrow and I will post some more of them.

Moxie Fab Challenge and Sketches in Thyme

Good Morning to everyone in Blogland today!
I am hopping that your week is tripping along fabulously as you are reading this.
Life remains the same here in Dallas, HOT, HOT, HOT! We Thought we were going to miss the 100's yesterday, but the clouds blew away it 100 snuck in on us!

Today I have a LO that is not in my usual style.
I am trying to put a few more art elements in to LO's. I keep telling myself - it is
only paper, it is only paper! If you don't like it you can start over :0)
So I determined that I am going to use all those paints and other supplies
that I bought because they were SO super cool!

I used my Claudine Hellmuth paints as well as my Pearlescent Liquid Acrylic inks for the background color. I added in paper doilies that I sprayed with Glimmer mist and paper butterfly shapes. The chipboard butterfly is from Tattered Angels and has been covered in Glimmer Mist and Glimmer Glam. The flowers are Prima and a few other odd ones from my stash, the paper is Bo Bunny.
I used the sketch from over at Once Upon A Sketch  as my inspriration

The added challenge was to use a quote, and my quote is
"Little Girls, like butterflies, need no excuses"
I don't know where I picked that up from, I have it written down in my scrap journal, so I don't know who to give credit to.

And I have used the trigger at Moxie Fab World , this time around it is
Fanatical About Botanical In The Moxie Fab World
Which is right up my alley, as I use flowers and butterflies on practically everything I do! I hope you take a minute to hop over to the blog where they have some great work going on!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
Please leave me a comment so that I will know that you were here!

ColourQ #95 and Sketches In Thyme

Good Morning all my blogging friends!
Today I have my DT layout for ColourQ  - this week the colors were so bright and cheery.
Very summery in my opinion :0)

The photos I have used are of my DD frolicking in the ocean waves, I thought they were a wonderful compliment to the color scheme.

I love, love, love this photo of my DD -
it is the day before her graduation and she is so HAPPY!
I have used MME papers and Bazzill cardstock. The banner is from House of 3, I have also used K&co, Prima, Cosmo Cricket, Creative Imaginations, Maya Road, KaiserCraft, Ruby Rock-It and a lot of random stuff from my craft stash.

For the title I started with a Maya Road chipboard, painted it with a Ranger paint dauber, then outlined it with a pen. I then splattered it with Pearlescent Liquid Acrylic Ink - I love those things. To give it some pop I used foam squares to adhere it on the page.
Here is the full LO  - I really am a double page LO kinda girl. :0)
Yes - those are real tattoos on her feet - my silly little child! You can pay their college tuition - but you can't make 'em mind, right!

Here is a look at the color palette from  ColourQ

As I said - very summery colors this week. Please hop on over to the blog  and take a look at the fabulous things the other girls have made.

I have used the great sketch from Sketches In Thyme   Thursday Takes #51 for one of the pages of my LO. It was just perfect for this photo - here is a look at the sketch

If you have never been over to see the great sketches they have you should check them out - wonderful sketches and you have all month long to get them done!

If you are still with me at the end of this very long post, I hope you are having a wonderful week so far!

Bird Is The Word

Happy Sunday to everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend :0)
I have had a very relaxing weekend and am ready for the week to begin.
Lots of things on my To Do List this week!

Today I have a LO for a site I just found the other day called Bird Is The Word it is a very cool challenge blog where they give you a sketch AND a key word to use somewhere on your page! How many times have I spent eternity wondering what to make the title of my page???? Many times let me tell you - I am the worst at titles!

So here is my LO, a photo from MANY years ago of my daughters, way back in the good ol' days before we had digital cameras. This was taken with my Minolta Maxxim, and I just snapped it and didn't even know I had a photo until the film was developed :)

I have used Pink Paisley's Gypsy Chick paper for this LO. My embellies are from KaiserKraft, Prima, Maya Road, Ruby Rock-It, Offray, Stickles and some chipboard letters. I have stitched the LO on my sewing machine. The stamp below the photo is unknown - it has been in the drawer forever.

This is one of my fave photos of my girls, for one second in time they were are peace with each other and I got a very nice photo of them together. That almost never happened!!!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week!

Graduation Album - still in Progress!

Hello everyone in blogland and happy Saturday!
It is a very relaxing day here today, we have just comeback from the shopping mecca of Dallas ~ North Park Mall. Love that place. If you are ever in Dallas it is for sure a place to see!

Today I have a LO for my DD's graduation album.
These photos are some of her casual graduation shots.
I used Fancy Pants papers here as well as some embellies from Prima,
Pink Paisley, Recollections and Unique Pages.

The chipboard piece I have aged with Distress paint in Tarnished Brass. When it was dry I added some Fruit Punch Stickles for a little color. The clock hands are from Tim Holtz and the silver piece is a jewelry finding.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Stuck on You Sketches

Hello all my blogging friends. It is another scorcher here in Dallas, which means I should do nothing but stay inside in the A/C and scrapbook right???
That's what I thought too!
So I have made a very cute LO from the sketch over at
Stuck On U Sketches   Here is a look at my LO,,,

I have used MME papers, Bazzill cardstock and a little bit of Best Creations too. I am trying to use those scraps up - I am not very good at that! I have used embellies from Prima, Maya Road, Martha Stewart, Recollections, and some acrylic pieces from my stash.
I used my Cricut to cut the decorative border on the page. Then I used the left over negative pieces from the cut, inked and embossed them and used those too.

Here is a look at the LO from Stuck On U Sketches
I have rotated the sketch to fit my photos. I used the wording on the paper as my title instead of adding one.

I am also entering this over at  Pixie Dust Paperie  where the challenge was to use butterflies in anyway. I have used an acrylic piece, which I have covered with paper on the back, then painted the edges. The top I sprayed with Tattered Angels and dried with my heat gun then added a little bling.

Thanks for stopping by today! Please leave me a comment - I love to hear what you think of my LO. Have a great day!

Sketchy Thursdays GDT Challenge

Hello all my blogging friends!
I have a LO to share today in which I used a photo that I have been saving a while.  The little girl in this photo is one of my BFF's daughters. She is quite a bit more grown up now! We were camping at Girl Scout Camp and I got wonderful shots of her and several of the other girls in my troop. The mood has finally struck me to scrap some of them, and here is one.

I have used MME papers for this LO, all from the Lost and Found lines, and a little scrap from Best Creations. I have also used Core'dinations cardstock. My embellies are from Prima, Kaiserkraft, House of 3, Cosmo Cricket, Scarlet Lime, Tattered Angles, Martha Stewart and some others from my stash. I have used punches from Fiskars and Martha Stewart.

I am entering this in the Sketchy Thursdays GDT   challenge. Love the sketch they had this month and just had to give it a try! Here is a look at it,,,

Along with the sketch, there were "extras" we had to play along with.
1. Summer Theme
2. A Journal Spot
3. and a couple of colors to choose from - I picked RED
Please hop over to their blog and have a look at the wonderful things the DT has created.

I am also entering this over at Scrapbookers Anonymous  where the challenge this time around was to use a color that is hard for you to use. That color for me would be BLACK. I have a hard time working black into my LO's. So I snuck some in with my embellies and matting. Not bad, huh?

I really hope you are cooler where ever you are than we are here!!! It is so blasted hot here! and dry! I would go outside and do a rain dance if I thought it would do any good.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week!

Just Friends

Hello Everyone!!
It is SOOOO HOT here in Dallas!!!! Really.
And that makes me so sad because when my electric bill comes next month
I will have no money for scrappin' supplies!!

Today I have a LO of just random photos from my DD and her friends and school.
I have used an older PageMap for the LO inspiration - love those!

I am trying to make a few LO's that have a little less STUFF on them.
It is really hard for me, but I am making it work!
Trying new styles is what it is all about, right?!?!?

My papers are all from Basic Grey and I have inked and sewn them.
My flowers and tickets are from Maya Road, the ribbon is Webster's,
the chipboard is Unique Pages and the rub-on is Creative Imaginations.
The white accent at the bottom of the page and on the chipboard is Enamel accents
by Ranger - this is the coolest stuff if you haven't tried it yet.
The punch is from Fiskars.

Thanks for stopping by my blog - I am going to go and water my lawn
and my new flowers so that MAYBE they won't all die in this HEAT.
I sure do love Texas, but in the summer time I wonder why???   :0)

Finally - The Internet is back on!

Hello everyone in blogland - I feel as if I have been disconnected from the world - I have not had internet access since last week. But, I have managed to get a LOT done!!! I have cleaned out and rearranged my scrap studio. I have gotten LOADS of scrappin' done ~ including the most gorgeous mini book that I will be posting in a couple of days after I get pics of it. So maybe no internet wasn't such a bad thing after all :)

Today I have for you my ColourQ    LO, I am running late because of the internet thing. :( The other girls made some of the cutest things you have seen, so please hop over to the blog and have a look.
Here is my LO,,,,,

To get the backgound color, I used two of the required colors this week. I misted with Pear Pizzazz and Marina Mist to get the color you see here. My embellies are from Maya Road and Making Memories, the little bit of paper that I have used is from Basic Grey.

Here is a look at the palette this week......

Really fun summer colors - please do join us this week. We would love to see your creation. You have until Sunday noon CST to link your project HERE    Have a great week!
